Honoring Top Boy Scout Merit Badge Earner Shawn Goldsmith

BSA universal emblemImage via WikipediaIn the news is a story about Shawn Goldsmith accomplishing a rare feat. The Long Island, New York resident earned all 121 merit badges in the Boy Scouts of America program.

Not only is this a notable achievement, but unless my eyes and the photo lie, Shawn Goldsmith is growing some decent scruff – which makes him blogable, too!

Think I could get the Boy Scouts of America organization to create a ‘facial hair’ badge?

In September, Coleman Carter of Amarillo, Texas also earned all 121 merit badges.

Congratulations to each of these stellar young men, and all young men who participate so diligently in the Boy Scouts of America program.
